Parmentier Observatory

NPMAS Members have access to the Parmentier Observatory on scheduled observing nights.  The Parmentier Observatory houses a 30-inch classical Cassegrain telescope with a six inch Astrophysics refractor in a two story enclosed observatory.  Properly trained members will be in the dome operating the telescopes and showing the highlights of the night sky, or participating in group observing sessions.

Members are also welcome to set up their own scopes or binoculars in the field below the observatory. While Parmentier Observatory nights are scheduled dusk to dawn, members are welcome to stay the whole night or just a few hours.

New in 2010 we are introducing the Ron Parmentier Observing Program.  This is a list of various objects and observing projects that participating members will need to observe through the 30" and 6" telescopes.  More details are available in the members only section of this site

This is a great opportunity for new and experienced members to enjoy the night sky through the largest privately owned observatory telescope in the state. We hope to see you there.
